This year in the UK, Black Friday is everywhere. Everyone seems to be cashing in on it. And it’s not even confined to the one day, it’s being stretched out to a whole week, or longer.

Just because everyone else is doing something, doesn’t mean you should. In fact a smart marketing strategy is to observe what the masses are doing, and then do something different. Samey kills sales.

Come on, we all know what Black Friday means. It’s a way for retailers to get rid of the tat they couldn’t sell earlier in the year.

You should never, ever, ever discount. It’s not what a “top of the market” IT support company should do.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t be competitive. Instead of reducing the price, add value.
